KATSUDA Yukio Born: 1941, in Kyoto Medium: Silkscreen
A Kyoto native, Mr. Katsuda studied at the Kyoto City University of Art, and continues to reside in that historic city. In his artwork, he is well known for using a very textured, heavy inking for these silkscreen prints. The result is quite dimensional and lends an added depth to his images. A multitude of different colored inks are blended together to give a rich palette. His work has a broad range of subject matter, from owls and flowers, to portraits and landscapes.
Selected Exhibitions: Kyoto Osaka Nagoya Kobe Fukuoka Tokyo CWAJ exhibit since 1981
Selected Collections: Scripps College, Claremont CA Utah State University Museum of Art, Logan UT
