HASEGAWA Yuki
Born: 1975 in Tokyo
Medium: lithography

After graduating with a degree in Dressmaking from Bunka Women’s University in Tokyo in 1995, the artist began studying Printmaking in 2003, first in the Netherlands and then at Musashino Art School in Tokyo.

Using her chosen medium of lithography, Yuki Hasegawa has explored various abstract subjects, first in black and white, and more recently using color as well.  In each, she captures movement, structure and ambiguous mystery.   Some are studies of lines, others focus on the circle. 

She writes “this world exists beyond any words, and mingles with time.  I want to capture the movement of the scene at the bottom of my pupils and draw them in my heart again and again.”

Yuki Hasegawa has exhibited widely, both in Japan and in Europe. In 2018, she was chosen as the cover artist for the prestigious CWAJ Print Show in Tokyo, and will have an exhibition in Great Britain in 2019.
