Blue field suggests landscapes with water and sky or aerial views from the airplane. The artist photographed aerial views when she traveled to California.  

They are etching and monotype on her own handmade mulberry paper that have rain drop texture. Rain drop textures were created by dropping the water in the process of making paper.  Hatching with line etching shows Yuko’s strong interest in texture pattern making. She then printed monotype with indigo color- ink to add tones. In some area, the prints were stenciled out using her antique worm eaten book pages from Japan. She said, “I collaborate with ancient worms. The worms created beautiful design which resembles shore lines in the ocean.”
