Notes: Kinkafu is the name of a 9th C. scroll unearthed in Kyoto in 1923. It contained twenty-one poems. Noah Brannen and William Elliot translated them to English. Ann Brannen, Noah's wife, suggested they be published in conjunction with new woodblock prints by Haku Maki. The "Festive Wine" book was published in 1969. The deluxe edition included twenty-one prints -- one to accompany each poem. Maki's print "Kinkaufu" was included as the cover artwork, and so it is quite rare.
