Notes: Tanabata is a Japanese holiday often celebrated on July 7th. The tale is that a shepherd and a princess were in love, but it was not to be. They were turned into stars and are only allowed to meet once a year by crossing the Milky Way. Usually bamboo branches are displayed with folded paper and origami decorations.
