Born in 1935
Mr. Ohtsu worked for the famous woodblock print master Kiyoshi Saito from 1958 until his mentor's death in 1997. Viewers find some similarity
in style for the two artists. The treatment of ink on the block gives an appealing textural element in both men's designs.
The prints of Mr. Ohtsu frequently depict natural beauty as well as interesting architectural elements that make them most appealing.
