Notes: A nagaya is a long low building often used to house samurai foot soldiers. Mon means gate. So This is a gate allowing entry to the other side of the building. Note the gentle undulations in the roofline and the textures in both wood and wall. A particularly fine use of chine collé to add warmth to the structure.
